Profile

Sandile Sokhela is a Principal, Founder and CEO at Crede. Prior to establishing Crede, Sandile was a Shareholder, Executive Director, Principal and an Investment Committee member at Inspired Evolution Investment Management. Inspired Evolution was the Manager of the USD$100MIL Evolution One Fund that attracted the funds raised from DFIs which included the likes of IDC, IFC, Norfund, SIFEM, GEEREF and the Afdb. Prior to joining Inspired Evolution, Sandile spent two years at Afena Capital as Head of Institutional Business responsible for growing assets under management. Over his two-year tenure as head of the Institutional Business, Afena raised over R10 billion in funds under management. Prior to joining Afena Capital, Sandile spent 8 years at Investec Asset Management where he worked on various roles.

Duzi Ndlovu

Duzi serves as a Principal at Crede. Duzi also serves as a Non-Executive Director at Lion of Africa Life Assurance Company and is also an Investment Committee member at Independent Actuaries and Consultants. Prior to joining Crede, Duzi was a founding shareholder, Executive Director and Chief Investment Officer at Argon Asset Management. Argon was founded in 2004 and is an investment manager of listed equity mandates, fixed income mandates and multi-asset class funds. Duzi sold out of Argon Asset Management when in 2013 when it managed in excess of R20 billion in third-party assets. As CIO, Duzi was responsible for managing investment staff, overseeing the investment process and served as both a portfolio manager and an investment analyst. Duzi founded Argon after he left his position as Chief Executive of Real Africa Asset Management, which at the time managed Assets worth R7 billion.  Duzi spent 8 years at Real Africa Asset where he served the roles of investment analyst and portfolio manager for equity funds and fixed income funds.

Elsje is a Principal. Prior to joining Crede, Elsje was at Nodus Capital was an Investment Executive. Elsje was responsible for originating and reviewing new opportunities; financial valuations, due diligence, risk identification and mitigation of existing and new investments and other opportunities. She also worked at Investec as a Business Development Manager where she was responsible for identifying, structuring and executing financing of power and infrastructure projects across Sub-Saharan Africa. Elsje also worked at the Industrial Development Corporation as the Account Manager for High Impact Projects, where she led, managed and coordinated a multi-disciplinary project team. She is an experienced Investment professional with a demonstrated track record in Private Equity, Project and Corporate Finance.

Khuselwa Klaas

Khuselwa is a Transactor at Crede. Her responsibilities include deal origination, deal evaluation, analysis, structuring, business case development, packaging investments and client servicing. Prior to joining Crede, Khuselwa Klaas was the Financial Management Specialist at Southern African Power Pool (SAPP), Project Advisory Unit. Prior to joining SAPP, Khuselwa worked at the Public Investment Corporation as an Investment Associate in the Economic Infrastructure team where she was mainly focused in the equity finance. She worked on a number of projects outside the power and energy infrastructure sector, such as the oil and gas transportation sector, healthcare and other sectors. Khuselwa began her career at Barclays Africa (Absa Capital) in the Power and Utilities team, she started as an analyst and was later promoted to Assistant Vice President.

Greg Hoffman, CA (SA)

Greg is an Associate at Crede. His responsibilities include deal screening, transaction analysis, structuring, financial modelling and project packaging. Prior to joining Crede, Greg was a manager at KPMG’s in the Deal Advisory – Infrastructure Finance division in Johannesburg. His primary focus has been Infrastructure and Financing advisory services, with a particular focus on power and utilities, port of entry redevelopment, water and sanitation, and mining in Sub-Saharan Africa. During this time his responsibilities at KPMG included financial modelling, project structuring, preparation of procurement documentation, financial analysis, business plan preparation and feasibility study development.

Maureen Mabuza

Maureen is an Administrator at Crede. As an Administrator at Crede, she manages the operations and administration responsibilities for the business. Maureen started her career in the corporate finance sector as Assistant Accountant at 3 Way Marketing.

Nonjabulo is the Office Manager and team assistant at Crede. Her responsibilities include supporting the investment team, managing the office and coordinating marketing and communication initiatives at Crede. Prior to joining Crede, Nonjabulo spent over 2 years as an ESL Instructor in South Korea and Taiwan (ROC). Nonjabulo also worked at Eskom Holding SOC (Ltd) as a Communications Assistant, where her role included events coordination and internal communications management.
